My name is Christopher Reese-Lamson, and I am a LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® certified facilitator.
If you’ve known me for more than approximately 8 minutes, you’ll know that LEGO is near and dear to my heart. It’s been a creative outlet for years, and I often try to find ways to incorporate it into many different parts of my life–So why not find a way to share it professionally with folks?
I grew up playing with LEGO, and rediscovered it as a young adult. There was just something so enjoyable about building a set, following the instructions, and seeing how it all came together. The combination of whimsy and precise engineering left an impression on me. As I built more over the years, I started designing my own models–Characters, fantastical creatures, dangerous dungeons… The works.
I really started flexing my skills during my time working at the LEGOLAND DISCOVERY CENTER, learning and growing alongside actual Master Builders, honing in on my love of helping people realize the important of play in their lives. While there, I became head of the Playmakers program, which was all about crafting one-of-a-kind activities and experiences to share with our guests.
In the years since, I’ve established an online presence, garnering 12k+ followers on Instagram as @ASortaOkayBuilder. (Named as such as one needs to remain humble, after all.)

Here at Build Different, our goals ultimately are very simple: We want to help to ignite creativity, foster good ole’ fashioned communication, and kick-start problem-solving!
All through the power of the humble LEGO brick. Easy.
We believe in the limitless whimsy of those interlocking pieces, be it for the simple delight it can bring you and your peers, or for its ability to help communicate some of the biggest hurdles you are struggling against. That tiny brick can represent anything you need it to, and combining more bricks into a complicated expression of success or challenges doesn’t have to be so daunting. Anyone can take part, and everyone at the table builds towards the final goal.
